Did you know that under the current system it, typically, requires a greater investment in
order to effect the passage of any single law than the cost of the problem(s) which it is designed to resolve? Did
you, also, know that our Congressmen/women, in this modern day and age, are encouraged to pass approximately 100 laws per
annum, each, in order to secure their seats for future elections, many of which are to be used as
riders? Yet, minimal law is "The American Way",
rather than such a malaise of exhorbitant one-upsmanship. Adding to the complexity of the problem, it is important to
note that our Government's reports do not necessarily reflect the whole truth. As such, we have posted, herein,
for your consideration, the serious questions:
How much does it cost, on average, to effect the passage of one law and to sufficiently
cover all subsequent administrative costs, all things considered?
How many hungry children would such a sum of money have fed?
Which investment, in this regard, is most logical (given that all people are sentient)?
We invite
our guests, as policy and news professionals, to publicly pose the above questions, as a means of openly addressing such vital
matters for public and Congressional consideration.
